About The Event
Jawbone; been stalwarts of the Cork live music scene since 2009 and have made their presence known nationally since. This piece summarised them nicely from https://thethinair.net/“a blues/folk collective who stray into honky-tonk, swing and delta for good measure. More a showcase than a straight set, the members pay tribute to many a forgotten luminary bringing their soulful, occasionally brash, but always beautiful tunes to modern ears. The musician’s ability to convey their skill and love for these songs is spectacular. Take, for example, the equally chilling and mesmerising rendition of Prescription for the Blues”. Their line-up features a couple of locals Alan Comerford (O Emperor, Mick Flannery, The Lost Brothers) and Patrick Freeman (The Bonk, Whozyerman?, The Lost Brothers) along with Limerick native Jimmy Christie (Nudy Boy Nature, The Bonk, Elaine Malone). Another great night in store so come on down for a relaxed evening of quality picking and singing!! Picture Aidan Kelly Murphy, The Thin Air.
