We are delighted to welcome back The BC Blues Band for this month’s gig on Friday 28th June. BC Blues actually were one of the first bands to play at only our 5th event back in July 2022. They were formed in 2018 by Enniscorthy locals Senan Carty on bass and Iain King on guitar. The band known for its dynamic and engaging performances soon after added the high-energy harmonica playing of Graham Moore and the soulful vocals of Bryan Steacy. The lineup is completed by the rhythmic grooves of drummer Dave Duffy.

BC Blues play a mix of old and new blues classics as well as a sprinkling of their own tunes while offering a fresh take on the genre staying true to its roots. Their performances are designed to get audiences rocking and a bopping, making them a popular choice for venues across the South East. They are a hardworking act, regularly performing at various locations and are a staple at the annual Blackstairs Blues Festival, where they consistently play to full houses.

BC Blues combination of talent, energy, and dedication has made them a beloved part of the local music scene and we are excited to have them back as part of our ethos of developing music from the South East.

We are thrilled to welcome back Parchman Farm Blues Band, an incredible long-established Dublin blues band is fresh off a recent sellout gig at Dublin’s premier live venue, Arthurs Blues & Jazz Club. Known for their captivating Chicago/Texas-style blues, this band has become a staple of the Dublin blues scene, gracing top live music venues across the capital and delighting audiences at renowned festivals including the highly successful Howth Roots & Blues Festival.

They will once again showcase their signature sound that has also taken them across Europe and beyond. This talented group has shared stages with blues legends such as Robben Ford, Joe Louis Walker, and Eugene Hideaway Bridges, showcasing their versatility and musical prowess.

Their impressive roster of supported artists includes Jimmy Rogers, Phil Guy, Otis Grand, Little Charlie and The Nightcats, John Hammond, and Louisiana Red, among others. The band’s albums “Nothing But The Blues” and “Last Night Live” have garnered favourable reviews in blues magazines across Britain and Europe, solidifying their reputation as a must-see act in the blues circuit.

This electric blue power trio need little or no introduction as they are one of the finest Blues bands in the Southeast (we’ll say even Ireland!!). They are regular attendees across many festivals and live venues and made their depot in Dublin last year at the brilliant Howth Roots and Blues Festival receiving rave reviews. Crow Black Chicken is a three-piece blues-rock band from Cork and Clonmel, Ireland and are composed of Christy O’Hanlon (vocals, guitar), Stephen McGrath (bass) and Gev Barrett (drums, vocals). Described as ‘The hardest working band in Ireland’, Crow Black Chicken has continued to build a following now known as the ‘Crow Black Chicken Army’.

Invited as guests to ‘Electric Picnic’ each and every year, their unique style of original music envelopes southern American blues-rock influence.
